Manitoba PNP Issues Fifth Draw of 2026, Targeting Skilled Workers
Manitoba's Provincial Nominee Program has issued invitations in its fifth draw of 2026, continuing to target skilled workers in priority sectors. The draw comes as the province ramps up its nominations under the 2026-2028 levels plan.
Manitoba's Provincial Nominee Program issued invitations to skilled workers in its fifth draw of 2026, maintaining a steady pace that positions the province as one of the more active PNPs in Canada this year.
Manitoba's Focus in 2026
Manitoba has been directing its PNP draws primarily at three groups: candidates with existing connections to the province through prior work experience or family ties, workers in healthcare and social services, and skilled tradespeople in construction and manufacturing. The province has faced persistent labour shortages in rural and northern communities that federal immigration programs alone have not resolved.
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, which is the largest in the provincial program, targets candidates who either have a valid job offer from a Manitoba employer or have worked in the province for at least six months with a current employer. Candidates with ties to smaller Manitoba communities receive additional nomination points.
How Manitoba Compares
Manitoba has issued five draws by mid-March, compared to six PNP Express Entry draws issued federally over the same period. The province allocates a portion of its nominations to the federal Express Entry pool and a portion to non-Express Entry candidates applying directly through the provincial stream.
What Candidates Should Do
Skilled workers with Manitoba connections or job offers should ensure their provincial profile is current and that employer documentation is recent. Manitoba processing times for provincial nominations have averaged 10 to 14 weeks in early 2026.
